How TruLata works

What TruLata does in a normal week

It runs your marketing on a schedule, depending on your plan: your Google Ads checked every morning, articles that answer what people in your area ask, a weekly check of whether nine AI assistants name you, social drafts for your approval, and every lead counted with where it came from.

Five minutes a week

Open the Overview and compare this week with last: what came in, and what it cost. When a number moves and you want to know why, ask on the Ask TruLata tab in plain English. The work runs without you, and your screen says what it did.

Your first week and first month

A tab appears as soon as its source is connected, so a new account starts with fewer tabs and grows. Leads and your CRM are live; Google Ads and Analytics run a few hours behind; Search Console runs 2 to 3 days behind, because that is how Google reports it.

Guides

How each part works, in plain English.

How the AI visibility check works

Try this tonight: ask ChatGPT "who is the best roofer near me?" It will name three or four businesses like it has known them for years. TruLata asks that question, and the other questions customers like yours ask, across nine AI engines: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Google's AI Overviews, Meta AI, Grok, Manus and DeepSeek. Then it tells you whether your business was named, who got named instead, and what to publish so you are in the next answer.

What to expect from the AI check: it runs again on a schedule, so you see whether your business is named this time compared with last time, engine by engine. Getting named takes time, which is why TruLata keeps publishing answers to what your customers ask and keeps checking.

How the Google Ads watch works

Ads pay for the wrong searches all the time: "roofer jobs", "roofer salary", "how to do it myself". Each of those clicks costs the same as a real customer. TruLata reads the searches your ads actually paid for, blocks the junk, and checks the account's change history every morning, so a big change someone else made is raised the same day. Nobody has to remember to look.

What to expect from the ads side: the account is checked every morning, wasted searches are blocked as they show up, and a big change made by someone else is raised the same day. You see spend, leads and what each lead cost on one screen.

How to read your leads

Ask an owner "where did last month's work come from?" and you usually get a shrug. TruLata counts every lead from your own website and ads on one screen, newest first, with where it came from and what it cost to win. The guessing stops.

How to read your leads: open the Leads tab. Every lead from your own site and ads is there, newest first, with where it came from. Pick the source that brought the most this month and ask Ask TruLata what it cost.

How articles get written and published

On a schedule TruLata looks at what people in your area are asking about, writes the article that answers it, and publishes it on your site, with a copy saved as a Google Doc in your own Google Drive. You can approve each piece first or let it run. That is how your business becomes the answer, on Google and in the AI assistants.

How to use Ask TruLata

There is a box in TruLata called Ask TruLata. Type "where did my leads come from this month?" or "which page brings in the most leads?" and it answers in plain English, from your own numbers. No report to dig through.

How to bring your team in

How to bring your team in: open the Team tab and enter a work email. They get their own sign-in link, see the same screen you do, and you can remove them at any time. Whoever handles your marketing should be in there with you.

How signing in works

How signing in works: there is no password to forget. Enter your email at https://login.trulata.com and a single use link arrives, good for 15 minutes. The screen refreshes when you open it, and there is a Refresh button when you want the newest numbers right now.

Still stuck?

Ask on the Ask TruLata tab of your dashboard and it answers from your own numbers, or opens a ticket for a person. Or email support@trulata.com and a person on our team replies.
